Edges

A selection of the best Canadian short films and videos

Call for entries
"edges of consciousness" program
Deadline: Submissions must be postmarked by December 15, 2005
There is no entry fee. Selected works will be paid an artist's fee according to CARFAC rates.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Artists must be Canadian or a resident of Canada at the time of production.
  • Works must have been completed within the last seven years.
  • Maximum running time is 30 minutes.

All submissions must be accompanied by an entry form available at: www.media-net.bc.ca

 

Friends of the Farm

Friends of the Central Experimental Farm Annual Visual Art Exhibition.

Call for Submissions to be the artist for next year's Visual Art Exhibition depicting the Ottawa Region in general and the Central Experimental Farm specifically. No Submission Fee.

Merrickville Fine Art Festival

Call for Artists

An exhibit and sale of fine art celebrates its 5th anniversary this May Long Weekend (May 20 - 22, 2006.) The Festival will, once again, be open to original, non-utilitarian two- and three-dimensional fine art created by the exhibiting artist.

Artists interested in participating in the upcoming Festival are encouraged to apply. Applications can be downloaded at www.merrickvillefineartfest.org. Applications, should be mailed to:

City of Ottawa

The City of Ottawa is planning to rehabilitate Perth Street, the main street of the Village of Richmond. Among the objectives for the rehabilitation of Perth Street is to provide welcoming gateway features at the east and west entrances into the village. Landscaped islands located in the centre of Perth Street will accommodate artworks that will also serve as signs with the word "Richmond" on them. The City of Ottawa is pleased to invite artists to apply to design a public art project to be integrated into both the east and west traffic islands on Perth Street, Richmond.
