The Generations Project

Three stages of life are explored in 21 photographs, the faces revealing a family: grandmother, daughter and granddaughter. The grandmothers have passed their eightieth birthday and the granddaughters, their eighteenth.
Through these images the photographer examines the family framework, encouraging the viewer to think about the responsibilities of one generation to the other, the genetic traits carried or lost, and the mysteries of the aging process.

Le Centre d'artistes Voix Visuelle vous convie à son encan silencieux du temps des fêtes le dimanche 12 décembre, de 17 h à 19 h. Ce sera l'occasion idéale pour vous d'y dénicher, parmi 70 oeuvres originales en estampe numérique miniature (25 cm par 20 cm), un cadeau original à offrir à un être cher. Le prix de départ de chaque oeuvre est de 100 $. L'entrée à l'événement est gratuite. Toutes les recettes de la vente aux enchères serviront à financer les activités du Centre.

The Ottawa Actors' Co-Op (TOAC)
Founded in January of 2010 by actor and filmmaker Karl Claude, The Ottawa Actors' Co-Op (TOAC) is a not-for-profit, artist-run organization, which meets on a weekly basis. It's not a class per se, but more like a gym where actors get together in a collaborative environment to run scenes, do some audition training, scene study work, stand-up comedy, improv, on-camera work...etc.
We've even shot several short movies and also had some high profile special guests come in from time to time!
Anything to keep our acting instrument sharp!

Pour sa part, Esther Beauchemin continuera le développement de son texte Quand la mer reviendra en novembre et décembre 2010 lors d'une résidence d'écriture. Cette saga théâtrale raconte l'histoire des derniers habitants d'un village de pêcheurs où l'impensable est advenu : la mer s'est asséchée et recule, inexorablement.
" Ce sont les paysages et les images hallucinantes du dessèchement de la Mer d'Aral, au Kazakhstan, qui m'ont inspiré l'idée de cette histoire. La pièce se veut une métaphore sur ce qui façonne notre identité ainsi que sur les traces que nous laissons pendant notre bref passage sur la Terre. " - Esther Beauchemin
