Two Local Artists to Receive Corel Endowment for the Arts Awards

Izabel Barsive received a Corel Endowment for the Arts Award in support of her dance video production Lustrale II, choreographed by Tara Luz Artistic Director, Anik Bouvrette. The Selection Committee recognized Izabel's ability and sensitive treatment of capturing the dance form on video. Izabel's experience has included a range of video production including documentaries, promotional videos and dance videos.

Michael Sasso received a Corel Endowment for the Arts Award to support an electronic music performance combining original composition, live musicians, synthesizers and improvisation. The Selection Committee was impressed with Michael's past experimentation and his attention to detail. Michael has worked as a music teacher, composer, director and performer.
